Since taking the reins as Kentucky’s new head basketball coach, Mark Pope has made one thing crystal clear: playing for the Wildcats isn’t just a job  it’s a calling. “Having some concept of what Kentucky basketball means is a vital part from the very first call to the pre-commitment conversation…” Pope explained, with the kind of passion only someone who once wore the jersey himself can express.
