According to Anthony Joseph, pre-contract negotiations have begun for UK West Ham United to sign Daniel Cummings from Celtic.
The Hammers seem to be the front-runners to sign the 18-year-old from the Hoops, according to a Sky Sports journalist’s report on X [1 February].
Portsmouth also shown interest in the striker, but it looks like the Irons have surpassed them in the competition to recruit the Scotland Under-19s player.

Daniel Cummings, a Celtic striker, is being courted by West Ham. This winter, Graham Potter needs a new striker option, and the Hammers have been connected to several during the transfer window. A forward has not yet been added to the East London squad with only a few days left until the deadline of February 3rd, but one may be on the way soon.
In a pre-contract agreement with the Hammers, Cummings can choose to play in the Premier League instead of the Scottish Premiership.
There’s a good probability the young player will be given a first-team opportunity sooner rather than later if a deal can be made for him.
Cummings may believe there will be more possibilities elsewhere because he has only made one appearance for Brendan Rodgers’ team.
