Before declaring his college preference, the five-star will make another visit to the Duke basketball program.
Nate Ament, a senior forward from Highland School (Va.), has already visited Duke basketball a few times, including during his visit to Durham for Countdown to Craziness in early October and during his first tour of the campus back in September 2023.
Duke basketball is among the top 11 schools for Ament, along with Louisville, Arkansas, Kansas State, Georgetown, Texas, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Kentucky, BYU, and Alabama.
Additionally, the 6-foot-9, 185-pound five-star, who currently ranks fourth overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, will make his Duke comeback on Saturday, February 1 at 6:30 p.m. ET (ESPN) for the Blue Devils’ home game versus the bitter rival UNC Tar Heels.

Before making a final decision, Ament will also attend Kansas State’s home game against Arizona on February 11.
Nate Ament, a five-star forward, is being heavily recruited by Duke basketball, among other top programs. Ament has already visited Duke several times, including a trip to Durham for Countdown to Craziness and a campus tour in September 2023. He plans to return to Duke on February 1 for the Blue Devils’ game against UNC.
Before making his college decision, Ament will also visit Kansas State for its February 11 game against Arizona. He is considering multiple factors, including which schools need him the most and where he can play through mistakes. Ament may also squeeze in one more visit before making his decision.
Ament discussed his decision timeline with 247Sports, stating that he plans to make his decision around February or March. He wants to ensure he makes the right choice and is considering all his options.
Ament is currently ranked No. 4 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite and has Duke, Louisville, Arkansas, and other top programs vying for his commitment.
