In Belgium, Carlos Bacca transformed from a stud to a dud, and Clement urges Gers supporters to have faith in the process when it comes to underperforming players
Fans may not be interested in hearing it. their manager’s statement that fresh players require time to adjust. Typically, supporters aren’t very patient.
Philippe Clement, however, is aware that it is true whether they like it or not. And he has the proof to back it up. After a turbulent summer, the Rangers manager is still attempting to integrate a number of new arrivals at Ibrox. Although they haven’t made as much progress as the Light Blue legions would have liked, the Belgian manager can sense development. Their best domestic performance of the season came in midweek when they thrashed Kilmarnock 6-0. Children such as Jefte and Hamza Igamane.
Others, such as seasoned Dutch defender Robin Propper, are still adjusting to Scottish football, though. Clement is certain that if they are given the time they require, they will all perform well for the Rangers. since he has witnessed it previously while coaching Club Brugge’s Under-21 team.
Carlos Bacca, a Colombian striker, used to be a mystery and appeared out of his element. However, Clement persisted, and in the end, he emerged as Brugge’s finest player and a £30 million superstar who excelled for Villarreal, AC Milan, and Sevilla.
Clement is aware that time at the Old Firm is limited. However, he is urging gamblers to have faith in the process. Some people find it more difficult than others, he said. It depends on your personality and background. We must remember that Robin has only been in the building for three months. It is therefore a natural process. When I was coaching the Under-21 team, we had Bacca at Brugge.

“A coach stormed into the room, waving his finger and expressing anger when I was in a meeting with the scouts. This is something I will always remember. “Which of you bought this player and said he was good?” he said. My grandma is even a greater player. Carlos had barely spent three months at the club. His training performance was quite poor. He wasn’t good, but perhaps the grandmother’s remark was a little over the top.
It took him some time to adjust. He was the Brugge team’s best player after eight months. He was the leading scorer after his second year and later played for Villarreal, AC Milan, and Sevilla.
“He needed time, but he was a good player.” Players from other nations find it difficult.
“Connor Barron’s arrival to Rangers at least demonstrates his understanding of the team’s values.” Giving players time does not, however, imply that they can sit back and not work out every day.
We encourage them to become familiar with the rules and culture of this club. They must be aware of what the football team and supporters want. Additionally, they must grow from their errors.
The mindset of this Rangers team was criticized even before Clement came to Glasgow. They lost to Ross County, who they play in the Premiership today, and blew a lead in the title chase last season.
“Can we get them to a level that’s good enough for Rangers or even higher? I need to take everything into account.
“But then there’s the personal side to it. I have talks with them individually where I’m open and honest.
“I never want a player coming here and saying after a month: ‘Oh gaffer, you didn’t tell me that’. I try to avoid that. I’m clear with everybody who comes here. And everybody has said: ‘Yeah, I want that.’ But then you need to do it.”
Additionally, Clement acknowledges that he gains new insight into his players’ personalities every day. However, he is certain that they are all eager to take on the challenge of succeeding at Ibrox.
“I know a lot of our new players from watching videos of them or games they’ve played,” he stated. Thus, you have a certain familiarity with them. However, they may have played a different football style or in a different system.
“I have to go past that and assess their strengths and shortcomings. Do they have the ability to improve our squad?
“Is their potential for the present or for the future? That will work for me.
At the club’s AGM on Thursday, Clement answered questions from the supporters and came away happy with the direction the team is taking. Rangers manager Patrick Stewart believes he is in agreement with fans over what they want from his team ahead of the arrival of new CEO Stewart.
He declared: “I understand what the supporters desire, and I also want to win trophies.” There are many new characters on both the athletic and non-sporting sides of this story, and we are just getting started.

We certainly aren’t where we want to be. However, it takes time and effort.
After speaking with Patrick, I can see the team’s and the team’s growth both on and off the field. There are many people who want to steer the club in the right path, even though it isn’t where it wants to be right now.
“We’re all working hard to make improvements where they can be found. Regarding the squad, I have high hopes. It will be fascinating because we haven’t yet discussed the January budget.
With so many people departing and not a lot of money pouring in, I thought this project would be difficult to get off the ground. We are trying to elevate the young players we have brought in to Rangers’ level.
