Rangers XI vs Olympiacos confirmed after huge James Tavernier call.

Fans have been demanding for Philippe Clement to drop the captain and top scorer from his lineup

Philippe Clement has picked his Rangers starting lineup for tonight’s Europa League showdown in Greece.

Gers will face Olympiacos fans, who are recognized for creating one of Europe’s most hostile atmospheres. The most successful Greek football team won the Europa Conference League last season, overcoming Aston Villa and Fenerbahce on the road to Dublin before defeating Fiorentina in the final.

And now, 33,000 people will throng the intimidating Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium for the arrival of the Light Blues. Both clubs have six points after three games, and the winner tonight will almost surely secure a play-off berth and a top-24 finish in the new league structure.

Clement might also benefit from a positive outcome, as pressure mounts on the Belgian following a disastrous start to the Premier League season. Rangers rallied back against Motherwell to go to the Premier Sports Cup Final on Sunday, but fans slammed James Tavernier and Cyriel Dessers.

Clement has been pushed to bench two of his most experienced players, and after contemplating on his team all weekend, he has now made his final decision. Check out the confirmed team news below.

Rangers XI: Butland, Sterling, Propper, Souttar, Jefte, Barron, Raskin, Cerny, Diomande, Bajrami, and Dessers.

Subs include Kelly, Tavernier, Yilmaz, Dowell, Kasanwirjo, Balogun, Igamane, McCausland, Fraser, McKinnon, Rice, and Lovelace.
