Tottenham fans have a lot to look forward to this January, as the club prepares to welcome potential South Korean prospect Min-hyuk Yang to North London
The 18-year-old winger, who turned down many major Premier League clubs to join Spurs on a five-year contract for €4 million earlier in July, has continued to draw notice in the K League 1 with his impressive performances for Gangwon FC.
His recent showing against Gimcheon Sangmu only solidified his standing as one of Asia’s most promising young players.
Yang scored a fantastic goal in the 64th minute of the play. After a partially cleared set piece, the ball dropped to Yang right outside the box.
He hit it cleanly with a half-volley, hitting it wonderfully into the bottom left.
His goal gave Gangwon a 1-0 victory and brought his season total to an amazing 11 goals and 6 assists in 35 appearances.

Yang’s excellent play this season has also resulted in many K League records. He made history in June by becoming the league’s first high school athlete to earn a professional contract.
In addition, the adolescent became Gangwon FC’s youngest debutant and the youngest goalscorer in Gangwon and K League 1 history.
His effectiveness won him four straight Young Player of the Month accolades, another league record.
Unsurprisingly, comparisons to Tottenham captain Heung-min Son have already begun, and supporters are keen to see if Yang can emulate his compatriot’s success.
Yang’s ability to play on both wings provides important flexibility, making him an ideal match for Ange Postecoglou’s fast-paced approach.
The North London club has been quite impressed by the teenager, and senior officials behind the scenes feel the South Korean might be one of their best summer purchases.
Although Tottenham’s roster already has plenty of offensive talent, his January arrival will add depth and enthusiasm as the season progresses.
