A roundup from the Scottish Women’s Premier League, with Rangers drawing with Glasgow City and Hearts defeating champions Celtic for the first time this season.

Rangers 1–1 Glasgow City

Rangers remain top of the SWPL after coming from behind to draw with Glasgow City at Ibrox.

Emily Whelan opened the score after 15 minutes, hitting the bottom corner with a well-placed shot.

The visitors trailed for much of the game, but Rio Hardy eventually scored for the Gers with 17 minutes remaining.

Rangers will visit the capital next Sunday to face Hibs, while City will try to keep pace with them by picking up another three points when they host Dundee United on the same day.

Hearts defeated defending SWPL champions Celtic for the first time this season, moving them within a point of second-place Glasgow City.

The hosts seized the lead in the first half when Maria McAneny diverted a Kayla Jardine attempt into her own goal.

Saoirse Noonan should have levelled for the Hoops late on, but her effort went wide, dropping them to fifth place, despite having a game in hand.

Celtic are next in action when they face Real Madrid away on Thursday, with Hearts taking on Montrose at Links Park next Sunday.

Spartans 0–4 Hibernian

Eilidh Adams scored a hat-trick as Hibs triumphed convincingly against Spartans.

She began by scoring from the penalty spot, then added another two minutes later.

Michaela McAlonie added a third for the visitors after 40 minutes, and Adams converted from the spot again after the half to round off an outstanding performance.

Rangers will face Hibs next Sunday. Spartans travel to Celtic on the same day.

Montrose 1–1 Partick Thistle

Partick Thistle came back from a goal down to draw with Montrose in the SWPL.

In the 58th minute, a fantastic ball found Neve Guthrie, who knocked it over the goalkeeper to give her team the lead.

Carla Boyce equalized for the Jags eight minutes later, scoring from a corner.

Partick Thistle return home on Sunday to face Queen’s Park. Montrose faces Hearts on the same day.

Motherwell beat Dundee United 4-1.

Laura Berry scored twice as Motherwell comfortably defeated Dundee United.

Berry scored after seven minutes, and Ashley Robertson equalised 10 minutes later.

Louisa Boyes gave Motherwell the lead again in the first half, and Megan Burns’ own goal put the hosts ahead 3-1.

Berry scored her second with 12 minutes remaining, securing three points without doubt.
