So frustrated’… Brennan Johnson shares what honestly aggravated Ange Postecoglou throughout Tottenham vs Brighton game

Brennan Johnson has admitted that Ange Postecoglou was once ‘frustrated’ at halftime during Tottenham Hotspur’s win over Brighton yesterday.

Spurs picked up a 2-1 over the Seagulls on Saturday afternoon thanks to a stoppage-time winner from Brennan Johnson.

Tottenham headed into the ruin 1-0 down after Pascal Gross made no mistake from the penalty spot in the 17th minute. Micky van de Ven gave away the spot-kick and Spurs struggled to stamp their authority on the recreation in the first half.


But a lot like the win over Brentford just a couple of weeks ago, Spurs came out with renewed power and discovered a deserved equaliser on the hour mark.

And Johnson has admitted that Ange Postecoglouwas unimpressed with his side’s display at some point of the opening 45 minutes.

Johnson shares what annoyed Postecoglou at some stage in Tottenham’s win over Brighton

Speaking to Spurs Play, Johnson admitted that Postecoglou was once ‘frustrated’ after his aspect failed to play their soccer in the first half.

“You don’t play that properly or that togetherness if every person isn’t on board,” Johnson said. “Everyone is firmly on board with how the supervisor plays.

“At halftime, he was so annoyed because we came away from the way we prefer to play. When we score desires like that, it’s stuff we work on day in day out. It’s a pleasant feeling.”

Sarr levelled things up on the hour mark and Johnson went on to seize a late winner after coming off the bench.

Spurs now have added depth after the returns of Sarr, Heung-Min Son and Yves Bissouma.

It genuinely paid off for Postecoglou the day past as two of his subs, Son and Johnson, linked up for the late winner.

But it’s no shock to hear that the Aussie boss wasn’t impressed with a lacklustre first-half performance.

While Spurs have picked up positive consequences of late, their performances at some point of games have been a ways from dominant.
