Pundit now promises his honest verdict on Adam Idah’s Celtic debut at the weekend

Whatever absolutely everyone says about Celtic’s January transfer window, what can’t be denied is that the fans were still excited to see exactly what Nicolas Kuhn and Adam Idah can carry to the team.

Kuhn made his debut in Celtic’s 1-0 win over Ross County two weeks ago and is regarded as pretty decent. He bolstered that performance with a purpose and a good performance against Aberdeen at the weekend.

By and large, this switch has proven early signs of promise for the Celtic fans.

However, it was once Adam Idah who the fans had been most excited to see and they received their want when the Republic of Ireland international got here on as a second-half replacement at Pittodrie.


Pundit and journalist, Mark Guidi, once spoke about the form of Kyogo Furuhashi when he delivered his trustworthy verdict on Idah’s Pittodrie cameo.

Guidi said [The Go Radio Football Show], “But I suppose the key factor is if Celtic go to become champions between now and the give up of May, and I don’t understand how you do it, this is where Brendan Rodgers earns his money.

“How do you get the pleasant out of Kyogo? That’s a key question for me if Celtic are going to grow to be champions.

“Now is it how they completed the sport on Saturday and played him however deeper and going with huge Adam Idah up front who, through the way, looked greater than decent when he got here on.”

Kyogo has struggled to locate the goalscoring shape that has viewed him being extended to hero fame in the eyes of the Celtic supporters.

And Guidi says that needs to be sorted out if Celtic want to win the league.

Guidi continued, “Is there something there where the two of them [Idah and Kyogo] can go and work collectively and construct a partnership? I don’t know.

“But if Celtic are to grow to be champions, he needs to locate a way of enjoying that receives the fantastic out of Kyogo because he is the best match-winner in the team.

“And if you can get the best out of him, you may just go on and win the league.”

One thing is certain, Rodgers won’t trade his fashion to accommodate two strikers. He never finished it once throughout his first spell at Celtic and has by no means proven an inclination to do it this time.

The Celtic followers will simply want to hope that Rodgers can discover the spark that will bring Kyogo to life because Guidi is correct.

Rodgers can’t just be counted on Idah. If Celtic don’t have Kyogo firing on all cylinders, they might also well kiss goodbye to the title and the £60m Champions League pot of cash that goes with it.
