‘Genuinely’… Gary Lineker shares who he desires to win when Tottenham face Everton

Former Everton and Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker has now been discussing which group he wishes to win when the two face off.

Lineker played for three English facets in his career, with most of his appearances coming for Leicester City in the 70s and 80s before he then joined both Everton and Spurs both aspects of three years at Barcelona.

The striker enjoyed an adorned career, he’s an English legend for a reason.

And it has turned out to be clear that Lineker is a large Leicester fan since he’s been doing a lot of punditry work after his enjoying career.


However, fans may additionally not be positive about the place his allegiances lie with the different groups he played for.

When Lineker was talking on the ‘Rest is Football‘ podcast recently, the pundit was requested who he sided with when Everton and Spurs rectangular off.

Of course, Sean Dyche’s side hosted Ange Postecoglou’s impressive Tottenham group on the weekend, resulting in a late 2-2 draw.

And when speaking on the podcast, Lineker stayed pretty partisan and admitted he was once pleased with the draw.

Lineker admitted that he still appears out for his ancient sides, pronouncing he nonetheless has love for both.

He said: “Obviously I have an affinity closer to my former golf equipment Everton and Tottenham, who performed towards every other.

“I had a couple of human beings text me and say you know when Everton plays Tottenham who do you want to win?

“I virtually don’t favor either group to lose. So they drew yesterday so I was once quite pleased about that.”

Perhaps some Tottenham fans might also be a little disappointed with that conclusion, after all, Lineker did greater than double his Everton appearances in North London.

However, it’s clear that the pundit didn’t always see it like that, he loved splendid reminiscences with all the facets mentioned.

Although perhaps Lineker would admit that Nagoya Grampus was once his favorite group in Japan, there’s now not too much competition in that incidence.
